Essential Gear & Protocols
Amphibians have highly permeable skin. Our tours enforce strict 'no-touch' or 'gloved-only' protocols to prevent the spread of chytrid fungus and protect these delicate ecosystems.
Illumination
Bring a high-lumen headlamp with a red-light mode to avoid startling wildlife, plus a strong handheld spotter.
Footwear & Protection
Knee-high waterproof rubber boots (gum boots) are mandatory for navigating marshland, streams, and avoiding driver ants.
Photography
Macro lens (90mm-105mm) with a dedicated off-camera flash or ring light. Weather-sealed bodies are highly recommended.
